India comes to the Humber

Some of India's key business people are visiting the Humber region and its businesses thanks to a joint initiative from Hull University Business School's Logistics Institute and local company, Archomai.

From 7th to 9th July, the Humber region will be showcased to the Confederation of Indian Industry Logistics Group, which comprises leading Indian-based businesses such as Take Solutions, TVS Motor and Bengal Tiger Line. An excellent opportunity for Humber business to forge international partnerships, it is the first of a series of visits from overseas delegates that will be organised in the region.

The confederation will visit Hull College and the Logistics Institute to learn how vocational skills in logistics and links with the business community are being delivered. The confederation will also lead a seminar at Hull University Business School on 8th July at 1pm, which is open to all businesses interested in building commercial links with India.

Professor John Mangan, Director of the Logistics Institute at Hull University Business School said, ‘We will be giving a warm welcome to some of India's leading business people and look forward to sharing ideas with them. Their visit is testament to the fact that the Logistics Institute is developing an increasingly strong international reputation.''

Arochomai is a Hull-based business that specialises in taking products and services to new markets across the globe. The team has extensive international experience in key sectors such as logistics, food and the provision of learning and skills throughout the supply chain.
