Following the success of our opening event of Season 2, we will be holding our second event of the season on Wednesday, 19th November at the Humber Seafood Institute, Grimsby. Julian Wild of Rollits will be our guest speaker and will focus on mergers and acquisitions in the food industry.

Julian is the Food Group Director of Rollits, which is a major North of England commercial law firm. He has been involved in the food industry for more than 30 years and works with national and international food and drink companies.

During his presentation, Julian will review the major 2008 merger and acquisition activity in the food sector, paying particular attention to the seafood industry. He will look at the impact of the credit crunch and whether the pace of consolidation is slowing down or hotting up.

Julian will be available for consultation after his presentation when you will have the opportunity to network with fellow international traders over lunch. We meet monthly at 12 noon when there is a presentation on issues of interest to international traders followed by a light lunch and the opportunity to network (12 noon to 2 pm).
