World Trade Centre Hull & Humber gets first Leeds member

Professional services firm KPMG, is using World Trade Centre Hull & Humber as part of a drive to strengthen its presence in the Humber region.
Christopher Roberts, an international corporate tax manager at the KPMG Leeds office, has become the first West Yorkshire member of the centre’s business club, which was launched in July.
Mr Roberts says that his membership puts him in a stronger position to compete for business in the area and to have a closer relationship with his existing clients. “We want to expand our business in East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire and World Trade Centre Hull & Humber provides an excellent location from which to conduct our Humber based business.”
Mr Roberts, who has been taking advantage of the hot desking facilities at the centre, believes that the region has good growth potential. “The importance of the Humber Ports makes Hull an ideal position for a World Trade Centre. A high proportion of my clients in the area are involved in international trade so it is also an appropriate base for me.”
The World Trade Centre Hull & Humber business club offers significant discounts to members on the centre’s state of the art facilities and exclusive use of the business lounge. In addition, members have access to more than 300 World Trade Centres globally and a network of more than 750,000 businesses.
Andy Mowbray, manager of World Trade Centre Hull & Humber, said: “We welcome Chris as our first Leeds member. The business club has been set up to appeal to many types of companies, even those not involved in international trade.
“These are exclusive facilities without an exclusive price tag, created to benefit businesses of all sizes and ultimately boost the region’s economy.
“Annual membership costs only £150 and we are offering special introductory rates so that it is an attractive proposition to the majority of companies.”
